Thanks to new zoning and a careful study of our land, we have identified very interesting areas where we are working on preparing the soils of the new plants to be established in 2025.

In addition to this we have installed many solar panels on the farm’s roofs with which to also give support to Mother Nature.
Two other good news are the 95 points that Decanter awarded to our 980 AD 2019 and the Gold Medal at the Brussels World Competition to our 2019 Chiave di Saletta.

Spring has been blooming!

Spring already passed-by, but it has been really special.

As for the current vintage 2020, the first three months of the year were very rainy with above-average temperatures, followed by early April ice. Despite this, the “vegetal state” is looking very good. The team is kept busy with renovating part of the existing vineyards and planting new vines.
Summer comes and we are now enjoying the blooming, or baby vines are growing-up and we think this will be a great vintage.
Certainly, this will be a vintage that the team will never forget (although we would like to forget parts of it!).

If you still cannot come to us, we can take our wine to you with a virtual winetasting.

We have all experienced challenging new ways of living and working in the past few months, as well as all possible ways of virtual communication, including a number of very interesting social events. The highlight of these sessions has been meeting and socializing with new and interesting people from all around the world, all of who share the passion for wine, proving once again that wine truly can bring us all together, even in difficult times.

Our head winemaker, David Landini, led participants through a tasting of select vintages and talked about what was going on at the estate while Italy was in the midst of lockdown; despite the country’s strict measures, winemaking is an essential industry to Italy’s economy, so Villa Saletta has been allowed to operate without interruption. Despite the ominous year, 2020 is looking to be a very promising vintage.

The feedback we received was that the virtual tasting was a great success and a lot of fun.

Our clients enjoyed not just learning about wine and the estate, but also socializing with each other and building a community around their shared love of wine.

Even as lockdown measures are currently being lifted around the world, there is still uncertainty about when we might be able to travel and enjoy wine together in person. Our virtual events will be a way to connect with each other, all around our shared passion for great wine and great conversation.

Join us for the next virtual wine tasting!
