Vinification

The story of this wine begins with delicate vineyard work: leaf removal, crop thinning and hand selection of branches. Our aim is to create a wine packed with varietal personality. We blend several lots and pay meticulous attention to the extraction process to create a fresh and fragrant wine with full colours, and supple, elegant textures and tannins. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel and a smaller mass (approx. 10%) in new barriques. The wine is moved in stainless steel and French barrels (50:50) for the malolactic fermentation. The various lots are fermented separately, variety by variety, before starting the ageing process – 12 months in French oak barriques 30% new and 70% of second and third passage, 6 months in concrete vats and 1 year in bottle before release.

Tasting notes

Bright red cherry and wild strawberry lead, followed by blackcurrant and a hint of plum. Subtle notes of dried herbs, gentle spice and a touch of graphite add complexity.The palate is vibrant and well structured, combining Sangiovese freshness with the depth of the Cabernet varieties. Fine, ripe tannins and lively acidity give balance and precision.
