Harvest in Villa Saletta doesn’t stop. We are picking the few grapes left in the vineyards, while in our cellar things are already moving on. The harvest is the moment of truth, an explosion of colors, flavors and sounds on the estate with 40 seasonal employees all working hard.

We started the harvest at the end of August with Sangiovese grapes for our Spumante Metodo Classico and our Rosè. At the beginning of September we proceeded with the red grape variety Merlot, while the selections of Cabernet Franc, the variety giving life to our 980AD, is ongoing now, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon.

Last but not least we will conclude with the selection of our Sangiovese for our monovarietal Saletta Riccardi.
The conditions for this vintage are very satisfactory and the regular and balanced climate of 2020 has brought healthy grapes of the highest quality to the cellar.
